There are some beautiful local courses that I people would love to golf on. They are only available to a select few who are members of the club,but by opening the course up for the day I think many people would enjoy it. Also @Business Marketing Guide: making your site Dofollow would really help to significantly increase the amount of comments youur site gets. People would want to be the first to post or have the longest post in order to get the most attention. With the correct plugins and comment rules a DoFollow blog would produce many good relevant comments. This would be a great promotional idea.
